The Coach: Dave Weinbach

Dave Weinbach, known as the "Badger," has become a celebrated figure in the world of pickleball, winner of 205 GOLD Medals (#1 all time) in the years since he started playing. Hailing from Wisconsin, Dave is not only a successful player but also a dedicated ambassador for the sport. Introduced to pickleball in 2008, he found the combination of outdoor racquet sports, social interaction, and entertainment highly appealing. With a background in tennis and table tennis, Dave seamlessly transitioned into pickleball, describing it as the perfect game for his skill set.

He is 10 time USA Pickleball National Champion, 15 time US Open Champion and 2024 Pickleball Hall of Fame nominee.

Beyond his personal achievements, Dave is passionate about sharing pickleball, conducting clinics in more than 20 US states and aiming to reach all 50. He is deeply involved in the sport, even building a pickleball court in his backyard for family enjoyment. Weinbach's contagious enthusiasm reflects the sport's remarkable growth, anticipating a future with many more million pickleball players in the whole world.

AIRPORT

The arrival and departure airport is Palermo International Airport (PMO), which is 35 minutes from the first Hotel (in Palermo). The day of arrival must match the first day indicated and the day of departure with the last day.

We will provide the ground transportation to and from the airport!

IMPORTANT: We recommend that you arrive at the Airport, on or before the first day indicated.We’ll meet as a group on the first day indicated at 1pm (13:00) at the Airport (our private bus will leave at 1pm). Please ensure that your flight arrives at least 75 minutes before this time.  On the last day of your trip, the private bus will take you to the airport, arriving at 11am (11:00). Please ensure that your flight departure time is after this time (we suggest at least 3 hours after this time for international flights).

50 - 200 Euros to have on hand. We recommend withdrawing Euros from an ATM once you arrive. Euros will be useful for street souvenirs, cash-only shops, tips, etc.

Tips are not expected by drivers/servers/staff in Europe. If you would like to tip, though, 5%-10% on your bill or a few Euros is the typical tipping range.

Sicily boasts some of the most delightful weather in the Mediterranean! The island enjoys pleasant Mediterranean breezes that keep temperatures comfortable year-round, even in winter. In addition to this, rain is infrequent in Sicily. In general, Sicily is a pleasant travel destination to be visited during the whole year.

If you travel alone but you selected a double room (to be shared), please note that is possible to have two beds in one room (one bed for each person). Just write it in the additional notes so that we are aware.

After placing your initial deposit, your full payment is due 70 days prior to arrival.
